The Derrick Flo-Line Primer maximizes the solids removal capabilities of the mud processing system by effectively removing
hydrated clays (gumbo) and large drilled cuttings upstream of the main shakers.
Sticky solids have proven to be difficult to convey out of drilling fluid with any type of vibratory motion. Consequently, the Primer
utilizes a conveyor system that transports solids to discharge without vibration.
Although its original design was for the removal of sticky solids, the Primer is capable of screening drilled solids to levels as fine
as 30 mesh, thus eliminating the need for both a "gumbo chain" and traditional scalping shakers. This allows the main shakers to run
finer screens earlier in the well leading to lower dilution and operating costs, while minimizing installation space requirements.
The Flo-Line Primer is available in two models - the Flo-Line Primer 200, which is capable of processing up to 1200 GPM, and the Flo-Line
Primer 258, which has processing capabilities near 1500 GPM.
